Your client may have already given you user permission levels to access their Shopify store. Below are the instructions for your client to give you the required permission levels.

Staff & Partner Permissions in Shopify

Here's an article in Shopify with more information on how to manage staff. Shopify currently offers 3 permission levels for users:

  • Owner permission

  • All permission

  • Limited (customized) permission

To connect A2X to Shopify, your client should allow you to have a "Manage and install apps and channels" App permission level.

Instructions for your client to add a user (staff) in Shopify:

Step 1: Go to Shopify > Settings and choose Users and Permissions

Step 2: Click on "Add staff"

Step 3 Store permissions: Fill out the staff member details. Below this, you will see the option to check the box for 'Select all permissions'. As this is your store permissions you may decide to limit the staff access to your store.

Note: The store permissions are separate from the App permissions

Step 4: App permissions. To allow the user to have App permissions and connect A2X to Shopify, make sure to check 'Manage and install apps and channels' located further down the page.

Final step: Click 'Send invite'

Once you receive the user invitation from Shopify, create a login and password to access your client's Shopify store(s).

Next steps:

➡️ Connect A2X to Shopify. Log into A2X, click on the "Connect to Shopify" button, and complete the connection. For more information, please reference this article HERE.
