You may have noticed that in the Accounts and Taxes section of A2X there is a drop down filter box called 'Marketplace'.

If A2X is able to detect that an order has been imported into Shopify from another source, we capture this information and report these transactions within a category we call a Shopify Marketplace. Examples of Shopify Marketplaces are Facebook Marketplace and eBay. These are marketplaces that are connected with Shopify and import order information originally collected outside of Shopify.

The best way to confirm what marketplaces are in use for A2X for Shopify clients is to view the installed Apps within Shopify.

The Marketplace description that A2X obtains on behalf of each order is sent to A2X from Shopify. The quality of this description can vary. Sometimes A2X is given a text string which describes the Marketplace which can assist the user in understanding the source of the original order. Other times, A2X is only able to read a string of numeric digits.

Over time, we have documented many of these numeric text strings and the associated Marketplaces they represent. Please note that these associations of numbers and marketplaces may change over time and may not be correct at the current date. Please find following a list of these Marketplace names and associated numeric strings.
