If you use Shopify Markets Pro, you may notice a new mapping category called 'PendingPaymentsMarketsPro'.
The purpose of this article is to assist you with reconciling this balance by using the data provided by Shopify.
The mapping category PendingPaymentsMarketsPro should equal zero life to date, and any balance showing as at a particular date will indicate timing differences only. This category movement is described below:
- The balance will increase when Shopify Markets Pro orders that have not yet been paid out are placed in a Shopify Markets Pro payout.
- The balance will decrease when Shopify Markets Pro orders that have been paid out in a Shopify Markets Pro payout are released.
Please follow these instructions to reconcile the balance as at a particular date:
Open Shopify and navigate to Finances | Payouts
Click on View transactions in the Balance Window (top right-hand side):
Click on More filters and choose Payout status - pending, and Payout method Markets Pro:
4. The balance of this account should equal all amounts listed in the 'amounts column'. If you need to reconstruct this balance for a point in time prior to the present day, it will be necessary to export this information to a spreadsheet to further filter the order creation and Shopify payment date.
In the screenshot below, you would expect to see a balance sheet asset as at the day this report was printed of (221.22 + 143.80 + 87.20 + 131.78 + 422.54 = $1,006.54). Please note: A2X will not recognize the fees and other charges until the Shopify Markets Pro payout is created.
