Only the owner of the Amazon seller account can connect the Amazon account to A2X - the required permissions cannot be granted to any other 3rd party.
This makes it more complex if a 3rd party, for example an accountant or bookkeeper, is setting up an A2X account on behalf of their client.
There are two methods to connect A2X to your client's Amazon account:
Send a request to your client to connect directly to Amazon (no A2X login required)
Invite the seller to the A2X account as a user, and have them login and complete the connection to Amazon step for you.
In this article we will describe both of these options with screenshots.
Option 1: Send your client a request to connect
In this option you can input the seller email address and select which market you need to connect to. Click on 'Continue with Amazon' button.
Once you have selected the marketplace for which you are requesting access, enter your client's name and e-mail address in the designated fields, and you will see a preview of the message that will be sent.
Clicking the 'Send Request to Connect' button will send an e-mail similar to this to you and the seller:
Then, the owner of the Amazon seller account should click the 'Continue to connect' button in the email, which will lead to the following page:
The owner will need to click through to Amazon, login, connect and then return to A2X.
Until then, this step will show the request is pending. Please ask your client to complete this step within 3 days.
Once the connection is complete, you will be ready for the Step 3.
You will receive and email confirmation, when they have completed the connection and the A2X account will be ready to start using.
Option 2: Invite Seller as a user in the A2X account
The account administrator can invite the client into an A2X account, which supports multiple users. A2X users will be able to see and review their accounts, and initiate connections directly.
First, invite your client to the account:
Then, once they accept the invite and login to A2X, they will be able to connect to Amazon, select their marketplace and proceed with connection steps as normal.
