Why isn’t A2X retrieving VAT report data from Amazon at the moment?

Recently, Amazon implemented a change in their requirements for fetching tax data reports through their new SP-API, which has affected A2X's ability to retrieve VAT report data. We understand that this news is particularly inconvenient during tax season, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

When will A2X start retrieving VAT report data from Amazon again?

Rest assured, the A2X and Amazon teams are working diligently to make the necessary updates to re-establish the retrieval of VAT report data from Amazon. We will keep you informed of our progress through email and in-app notifications.

What happens next?

If your settlement is missing VAT data, then there will be an ‘On Hold’ flag within A2X. This means your entry has likely not been posted to your accounting software. Once A2X has retrieved the required VAT data, your settlements will be refreshed, and you will be able to post them to your accounting software.
