If you have previously used TikTok Shop via A2X for Shopify and are switching to the A2X for TikTok Shop integration, you may wish to run the Crossover Adjustment Report. This article explains what the report does and how to use it.
Why do I need a crossover adjustment?
The A2X for Shopify integration posted TikTok Shop transactions by order creation date to a clearing account. The A2X for TikTok Shop integration posts by order delivery date and matches directly to the bank - there is no clearing account.
During the switch from one integration to the other, some orders may be posted by both systems, creating a duplicate. This can happen when, for example, an order was placed in the month before you switched to the direct integration but delivered in the month you switched over. A2X has created the Crossover Adjustment Report to help with this. It identifies any duplicate postings and provides the journal entries needed to reverse them.
Where do I find the report?
You can find the report in A2X under Reports > Export Data > TikTok Shop Crossover Adjustment Report.
Example scenario
You want to stop using the TikTok Shop via A2X for Shopify integration at the end of July 2026 and start using the direct TikTok Shop integration from 1 August 2026. July is your crossover month.
To run the report, select August 2026 as the first month on the direct integration.
A2X looks back at July and identifies two types of duplicate orders:
Crossover Settlement orders - orders delivered in July that appear in a TikTok payout spanning July and August. These were already posted by Shopify in July. The direct integration also posts them in Invoice 1 of the crossover settlement, creating a duplicate. The report provides reversal entries dated 31 July.
Delivery Date orders - orders created in July but delivered in August. Shopify posted them in July by order creation date. The direct integration posts them in August by delivery date. The report provides reversal entries dated 1 August.
How to use the report output
The report exports a CSV of journal entries. Your accountant posts two journals:
Journal 1 (July 31) - reverses the crossover settlement duplicate postings. The net goes to the Shopify TikTok Clearing Account as a credit.
Journal 2 (August 1) - reverses the delivery date duplicate postings. The net also goes to the Shopify TikTok Clearing Account.
Note: Before running the report, make sure your Shopify TikTok Clearing Account is fully reconciled up to and including the last day of the crossover month. Once you have posted both journals, the clearing account should clear to zero. If a balance remains, this indicates there are outstanding items from before the switch that will need to be investigated separately.
What about COGS?
If you have COGS reporting enabled in A2X, you may need to make a manual adjustment for the orders included in the report. Please contact the A2X support team and we can provide you with a list of SKUs and quantities per order to help you make your own adjustment if you wish.
