When an accountant or bookkeeper signs up to A2X for TikTok Shop account on behalf of a client, they have the option to select ‘I need to request access.’ When this option is selected the accountant or bookkeeper will be able to enter the seller's name and the seller's email address. The TikTok Shop owner will be notified and can make the connection to A2X.
Step 1: Select the request access option
When you reach the Connect TikTok Shop screen, select I need to request access.
Step 2: Enter the seller's details
Once you select this option, you will see a form where you can enter the TikTok Shop owner's name and email address. You will also be able to preview the email that will be sent to them.
Step 3: Send the request
Click Send Request to Connect. The TikTok Shop owner will receive an email with instructions on how to authorize A2X to access their shop data. The connection takes less than five minutes on their end.
Note: Make sure the seller uses the admin email address for their TikTok Shop account, not a sub-user email. Only the owner account can authorise third-party apps like A2X.
Step 4: You will be notified once the connection is made
Once the TikTok Shop owner has completed the authorization, you will be notified that the connection has been made. A2X will then begin importing recent settlement history automatically.
