A2X for Amazon VAT Settings

To ensure Amazon is calculating VAT correctly, it is important that your client keeps their Amazon Seller Central account details accurate and up to date.

A2X for Amazon has two options to enable in the Registered Country settings.

1. Select a country feature: Select the countries your client is VAT registered in to allow A2X to group the sales data by shipped-to country

Below is a sample of transaction types you may see in your client's A2X for Amazon account after enabling the VAT settings with the United Kingdom as the only registered country.

2. Enable VAT jurisdiction tracking feature: If your client enabled VCS on Amazon and you would like to see the Amazon data in A2X split by VAT jurisdiction, then enable this setting. Please Note: The VAT data becomes available after month-end including payouts that cross over multiple months.

Below is a sample of transaction types you may see in your client's A2X for Amazon account after enabling the VAT Jurisdiction Tracking feature including the United Kingdom and Germany as the two registered countries

A2X for Ebay VAT Settings

To ensure Ebay is calculating VAT correctly, it is important that your client keeps their Ebay Tax Settings updated

In A2X, eBay does not have any specific VAT transaction line items in your payouts because eBay does not track VAT on seller sales. eBay sellers manage their own VAT and can use A2X to account for it properly using the techniques below:

  1. Enable Registered Country Settings - this allows A2X to separate the data by shipped-to country and for sellers to apply tax rates to corresponding countries. For example a UK seller may apply a 20% rate for sales to the UK, and a different tax rate for sales to other EU countries or to countries outside the EU. Note: please contact A2X support to enable this option.

  2. Grouping by Product Type - this feature allows sellers to group sales of products that have different tax rates together. For example a UK based seller may have VAT on some items they sell, and apply zero-rated or no VAT on other items
